A Violin by Gaian Amorim

Violin by Gaian Amorim, Curitiba, 2015

It is a personal violin model inspired by Ornati crafted by the hands of a rising-star maker. A beautiful cremona violin that illustrates Gaian’s excellent artistry with its delicate and rounded edges. In our view, its highlights are the F-holes – which precisely follow the violin’s arching – and the deeply carved scroll that shows all of his expressiveness and craft abilities.

      Full description

For this violin the wood chose for the top, a narrow to medium grain spruce, was carefully selected and comes from Val di Fiemme, which is the same source of most of the greatest Cremonese makers of the past. The back is a two-piece maple featuring medium flames mixed with irregular patterns. The varnish is of amber orange color. We offer you your new mean of expression. "The scroll is, for me, the part of the instruments that I can express myself the most. This instrument couldn't be different: deeply carved, showing all of my freedom and workmanship abilities. To complete, mixed oil varnish and natural texture summarize my ideal new making style violin." Gaian Amorim

Violin Bow by Kurt Dolling, Markneukirchen, c.1960

      By Kurt Dolling  |

This great Modern German bow was made by the hands of a mastermaker. Amongst the greater names of the bow-making tradition in Markneukirchen, Kurt Dolling's bows are sought after for their reliability, precision, and functionality. From our point of view, this bow exceeds for its precisely shaped and curved strong octagonal stick.
