Full description

This violin by Manuel Di Llanada, made in Cremona in 2025, is a confident and refined interpretation of the Stradivarian model, combining classical inspiration with a strong modern character. The instrument is built with bold arching and a well-defined structure, contributing to both its visual presence and acoustic strength.

The back is made of two pieces of maple, carefully selected for its quality and tonal properties, while the overall craftsmanship reflects a disciplined and thoughtful approach to the Cremonese tradition. The violin is finished in a rich orange varnish with an antiqued appearance, enhanced by a beautifully developed craquelure that adds depth and texture to the surface, evoking the character of historical instruments.

Tonally, the instrument is powerful and direct, with a focused projection that allows for clarity and presence in both solo and ensemble settings. Its response is immediate and controlled, offering the player a reliable and expressive tool capable of meeting the demands of modern performance.

A compelling example of contemporary Cremonese making, this violin reflects both respect for tradition and a clear individual voice.

Violin Bow by Kurt Dolling, Markneukirchen, c.1960

By Kurt Dolling  |

This great Modern German bow was made by the hands of a mastermaker. Amongst the greater names of the bow-making tradition in Markneukirchen, Kurt Dolling's bows are sought after for their reliability, precision, and functionality. From our point of view, this bow exceeds for its precisely shaped and curved strong octagonal stick.
