A Violin by Frédéric Noharet

Violin by Frédéric Noharet, Parma, 2019

2020

This violin was crafted by the hands of a master maker. Frédéric's long experience as a violin maker is demonstrated by his precise hand skill. In our view, the full arching united with a quite long cut of the f-holes is this violin’s high point. More

    Full description

"I am currently looking for an increment of power and projection of the sound without losing the richness of harmonics and warm full of the tone. With this in my mind, I chose for this violin to use a model I drew in 1990 because of its “masculine” character. I carved full arching united with a quite long cut of the f-holes. The construction technique generates a soft appearance while the varnish, although not antiqued, generates a “non-new” sensation." Frédéric Noharet

Violin Bow by Kurt Dolling, Markneukirchen, c.1960

    By Kurt Dolling  |

This great Modern German bow was made by the hands of a mastermaker. Amongst the greater names of the bow-making tradition in Markneukirchen, Kurt Dolling's bows are sought after for their reliability, precision, and functionality. From our point of view, this bow exceeds for its precisely shaped and curved strong octagonal stick.
