      This bow stands as one of the most remarkable creations from the esteemed French mastermaker. Its elegance is evident in every aspect of its design, from the craftsmanship to the exceptional quality of materials used. The bow was made at the time for the Chanot & Chardon Company in Paris. The stick is mostly thin and delicate throughout the entire bow. It is greatly preserved, as indicated by the faintly consumed "CHANOT CHARDON, PARIS" fire stamp over the frog. The meticulously shaped stick, crafted from the finest even dark-brown Pernambuco wood, boasts a rich, dark-brown hue that catches the light with astonishing brilliance. The silver mounting adds an additional touch of refinement. Renowned for its superb sound quality, historical significance, and unparalleled craftsmanship, this bow exemplifies the French bow-making tradition among the members of the Bazin Family.

      Charles Nicolas Bazin, inheriting his father's bow-making legacy at 18, propelled the family workshop in Mirecourt to prominence.
