Violin by Sibylle Borchardt-Fehr, Cremona 2009
By Sibylle Fehr-Borchardt |
Made in Cremona in 2009 by Sibylle Fehr-Borchardt, this violin is a contemporary interpretation of a Guarneri 'Del Gesù' model. With a two-piece flamed maple back, figured Italian spruce top, and nuanced orange-brown varnish, it blends warmth with refinement. In our opinion, its standout feature is the precisely carved, symmetrical f-holes—offering a modern, elegant twist on Guarneri’s spontaneous aesthetic.
