      Full description

This remarkable fine bow, crafted by the respected French Maison of Marc Laberte, distinguishes itself for its incredible playability qualities and balance. An ultimate example of the standard of quality achieved by that workshop, which was among the most influential and important of Mirecourt. Its round stick elegant design matches the impeccable craftsmanship. In such a great state of preservation, original in all its main parts, the bow round stick was made of fine quality Pernambuco wood, common to the highest quality outcome of the atelier. The silver mounting is neat, exhibiting the attention to detail and skillful approach of the makers who worked there. Tailored to meet the needs of musicians, this bow exceeds expectations with its exceptional playability and responsiveness, making it a versatile choice that is noticeable for its outstanding sound quality. The bow brands the fire stamp in homage to the late Mirecourt master violin maker and collaborator of Marc Laberte, Gabriel Didion.

Violin by Pietro Pallotta, Perugia, c.1800

      By Pietro Pallotta  |

This violin was crafted by an Italian Mastermaker at the end of the 18th century in his own personal style, model, and approach. It shows off Pallotta's elegance and inventiveness, deeply immersed in the 1700s Italian tradition, yet very particular and authentic in his decisions, from the choice of local wood sources for the back, sides, neck, and head to the constructive approach that made the acoustics of his instruments so famous amongst musicians.
