This extremely fine bow, crafted by the renowned French mastermaker, embodies all the qualities that earned him such acclaim as a member of the trinity of the greatest bow maker of Mirecourt. It stands as a true masterpiece, representing the peak of craftsmanship achieved in the city during the first half of the 20th century, made in the period in which Louis Morizot collaborated with the great Eugène Nicolas Sartory. Combining strength in design, robust craftsmanship, and exquisite taste, it upholds the legacy of excellence established by the Morizot family. The bow is in pristine condition, with all its original components, including the silk and silver winding and leather, which is extremely rare.
This heavier and stronger bow is ideal for musicians who have prominent, strong pronation on the right hand and look for a bow that can carry the arm weight and straightly transfer it to the contact of the bow hair to the strings.
The stick is made from exquisite dense and deep grain Pernambuco wood of orange-brown color. Adorned with silver mounting, the frog and button are classically fashioned from high-quality, tight-grain ebony. This bow carries the stamp of the atelier of Albert Deblaye of Mirecourt.

Louis Joseph Morizot ‘Père’
Louis Morizot, mentored by Eugene Cuniot and C.N. Bazin II, established his own workshop in Mirecourt in 1919. Awarded first prize at the Exposition Artisanale in 1927, Morizot's craftsmanship earned him recognition as a master bow maker. His legacy, continued by his sons as Morizot frères, solidified the family's influence in Mirecourt until the workshop's closure in 1970.
