      Full description

This violin is deeply inspired by the Stradivari 'Golden period' models .' The top is made from spruce from Val di Fiemme with medium to wide, regular grain, and the one-piece back of semi-slab cut Bosnian maple with deep and wide perpendicular flames, as typical of the instruments by Stradivari in the period. The oil-rosin varnish is of orange-brown color on a light golden ground. The light varnish wear of the freely antiqued approach adopted by the makers enhances the attractive harmonic shape of the stradivarian lines.

"The design of the violin is based on the medium pattern of Stradivari, characterized by rather flat but full curves in both front and back plates; the stylistic features are made for aesthetic and acoustic reasons. The result shows a bold, well-defined violin with generous arching and the typical Stradivarian scroll. The delicate edgework displays relatively long and delicate corners and well-balanced soundholes." Andrea Giovannetti & Kyle Schultz
