A Violin by Andrea Cabrini

Violin by Andrea Cabrini, Cremona, 2022

This beautiful and slightly antiqued Stradivari model violin was crafted by the hands of a Cremonese master maker. This Cremona violin is notable for Cabrini's classical, refined approach based on all higher Cremonese standards. In our opinion, the instrument's highlights are the charming bear-claw figure on the spruce wood top and the elegantly elongated purfling mitres. More

    Full description

This high-quality cremona violin modeled after Stradivari carries the characteristics of the contemporary Cremonese school of violin making. The beautiful two-piece back with deep flames and the medium-width grain spruce top with the stunning bear-claw figure is enhanced by the clear transparent orange varnish, with some slight wear details that bring out such a natural look. The finishing refinement is remarkable on the mildly worn black lines that run the scroll, button, and corner edges.

    Andrea Cabrini

Andrea Cabrini deepened his roots into Cremonese traditional craftsmanship by working alongside Maestro Bissolotti after graduating from violin-making school. He is inspired by the great masters Stradivari and Guarneri ‘del Gesù.’Learn more

Violin Bow by Kurt Dolling, Markneukirchen, c.1960

    By Kurt Dolling  |

This great Modern German bow was made by the hands of a mastermaker. Amongst the greater names of the bow-making tradition in Markneukirchen, Kurt Dolling's bows are sought after for their reliability, precision, and functionality. From our point of view, this bow exceeds for its precisely shaped and curved strong octagonal stick.
