      Full description

This violin is a meticulous copy of a 1715 Pietro Guarneri of Mantua masterpiece, crafted by master maker Luiz Amorim. Revered for his dual roles as both violinist and luthier, Pietro Guarneri infused his instruments with a unique sense of artistry and elegance, drawing upon his experience in the vibrant court of Mantua. This copy captures the essence of Pietro’s refinement, characterized by exquisite craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and distinctive design features such as the elegant, elongated F-holes inspired by Amati's influence. Luiz Amorim's interpretation of this 1715 model incorporates an Italian spruce top with medium-to-narrow grain from Val di Fiemme, providing a resonant and articulate sound. The back, sides, and neck are crafted from flamed Bosnian maple cut in the slab, chosen for its striking figure and tonal properties, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and acoustic excellence. The golden-brown oil varnish, applied with meticulous antiquing techniques, mirrors the warmth and texture of the original, creating a visually stunning tribute to Guarneri’s legacy. Pietro Guarneri violins are celebrated for their refined tonal qualities and balance, making them highly versatile for various musical contexts. This remarkable copy not only replicates those cherished traits but also brings Luiz Amorim’s masterful touch to the forefront, ensuring its place as a distinguished concert instrument.
