Full description
This exceptional copy was inspired by one of the most intriguing named violins by Guarneri Del Gesù. The 1734 'Violon du Diable' is considered to be one of his finests. Named after Cesare Pugni Opera from 1849, in which a young violinist asks a doctor to cast a spell on his instrument to make it sounds so gorgeous that his beloved one would have no other choice than falling in love for it. The violin actually earned this name as it was played by the musician who interpretated the young lover at the piece Premiére. Such stories between violinists and his instruments arein fact not uncommon, and surrounded the carreers of great virtous ones as Paganini and Tartini. This exceptionally made copy outsands the fine copying and antiquing process with a deep character, just as the original one.
