      Full description

This Ceruti is one of the only instruments, if not the only, that retains the original label from Cremona, before the maker  move to Mantua. It has plenty of its original varnish remaining. A beautiful, expressive, and appealing instrument, currently, in a good state of preservation, adjusted by the hands of Luiz Amorim. It's a unique opportunity to invest on a Museum level masterpiece.

      Giuseppe Ceruti

Giuseppe Antonio Ceruti is a pivotal figure in the history of violin making in Lombardy. Born in Cremona in 1785, he learned the craft from his father, Giovanni Battista Ceruti. After inheriting his father's workshop, he started signing his own instruments, but the major part of his production came after he moved to Mantua in 1853. Despite being limited, his instruments are highly prized for their expressive sound. Learn more

Violin Bow by Emil Max Penzel, Erlbach, c. 1930

      By Emil Max Penzel  |

A unique mastermaker crafted this Exceptional Pre-WorldWarII German bow. One of the most recognized makers of Germany's early 1900s, Emil Max Penzel, elegantly displays his references and his origins among the makers of the Pfretszchner workshop in this bow, yet preserves and flaunts his own style. In our opinion, the most noticeable aspect of this bow, beyond the excellent craftsmanship, is the stunning high-quality Pernambuco wood.
