Fine Instruments

It was an incredibly short trip to Italy hoping to find fine instruments in three days for my sister Linda who is the associate concertmaster for Lubbock Symphony in Texas, USA. She travelled from America and my mom and I flew in from Taiwan to meet there. After touring the museum in Cremona, we succeeded in finding a place with friendly and professional service, Amorim Workshop! We were able to try many excellent violins and bows! We loved Amorim's copies of Guarneri! But since there's a two year long wait list, we decided to purchase Domenico Fantin 1982 instead and a bow by C. L. Bazin 1935! Amorim workshop is definitely a must see destination in Cremona! We had such a beautiful experience there! Can't wait to visit regularly! Highly recommended!

Amorim Fine Violins Cremona is a welcoming and familiar place. The Amorims, exceptional luthiers, very kind and helpful people, are a guarantee of high quality and professionalism in everything that revolves around the vast world of Cremonese violin making.

I have been looking for a cello for my daughter who is 15.
After exploring the Net for a long time and checking many luthiers in Cremona, I can claim without hesitation that Amorim are truly exceptional in every aspect: Impressive selection of the finest celli, impeccable service and a true desire to accommodate any request.
Although our budget was somewhat modest, we had the feeling we were treated like preferred clients right from the start.

My daughter spent hours there trying the celli with a very attentive help, detailed explanations and a remarkable patience from a wonderful and very friendly staff. Special thanks to Luan for a truly outstanding buying experience.

Big recommendation for every professional in need of a perfectly balanced instrument/bow in any price category! (Looking forward for my personal Amorim violin to be finished soon and can't wait to make music with her!)

Amorim fine violins, an established entrepreneurial reality in Cremonese violin making, is a combination of tradition and innovation in the artisanal production of precious violins and cellos. With great mastery, dictated by profound passion but also by impeccable technical preparation, the Amorim family carries on the business with great pride, enjoying the esteem of the most important personalities in the musical world, of great collectors and of numerous lovers of these musical instruments. Kindness and hospitality distinguish the Amorim family, who welcome you into their precious shop with a smile and simplicity, having no hesitations in enthusiastically describing their great present and future projects.
When we finally decided to commission a violin from Luiz himself, Tomas kindly guided us through the process. He worked with us patiently, and we felt very safe and confident about placing a commission.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this shop. Tomas' wealth of knowledge on instruments is fantastic! He was very helpful and accommodating. The instruments were all great to play, a very insightful afternoon for me. I look forward to returning asap!
