A Domenico Montagnana model cello by Luiz Amorim. Luiz’s inspiration to make it was as it had just come out of Montagnana’s workshop. Montagnana cellos are exceptionally fine for solo playing due to their rich and penetrating sound. It is rich, powerful, and full of harmonics from the very beginning. Whether the deep red varnish is intact or very textured and patinated, its appearance is often very dramatic. Montagnana consistently demonstrated a very powerful character and a very appealing sense of style.
