      Full description

This stunning violin is an inspired copy of the 1744 Guarneri 'Del Gesù' "Leduc," one of the most iconic instruments crafted during Guarneri’s late period, considered by many to be his last instrument. With remarkable attention to detail, master luthier Luiz Amorim has recreated the distinctive elements that define the "Leduc," bringing its legendary character to life through his exceptional craftsmanship. The violin’s top is made from fine Italian spruce, chosen for its straight grain and tonal brilliance, while the back, ribs, and scroll are crafted from a beautifully flamed Bosnian maple resembling the characteristics of the original instrument. The back is a striking two-piece, showcasing bold flames that reflect light with stunning depth. The varnish is a deep, rich golden-brown with subtle shading and craquelure, paying homage to the aged patina of the original "Leduc." Every detail, from the elegant curvature of the mild arching to the uniquely long-shaped f-holes, firm flattened edges, and open corners, captures the essence of the Guarneri style. Tonally, this violin is a powerhouse. It delivers a commanding and robust sound that projects effortlessly, combined with a warm, velvety timbre.  The "Leduc" copy is a faithful tribute to one of history’s greatest violins.
