    Full description

This exceptional copy was inspired by one of the most intriguing named violins by Guarneri Del Gesù. The 1734 'Violon du Diable' is considered to be one of his finests. Named after Cesare Pugni Opera from 1849, in which a young violinist asks a doctor to cast a spell on his instrument to make it sounds so gorgeous that his beloved one would have no other choice than falling in love for it. The violin actually earned this name as it was played by the musician who interpretated the young lover at the piece Premiére. Such stories between violinists and his instruments arein fact not uncommon, and surrounded the carreers of great virtous ones as Paganini and Tartini. This exceptionally made copy outsands the fine copying and antiquing process with a deep character, just as the original one.

    Hyun-Jung Park

Park Hyun-Jung started learning to play the violin at the age of 7, throughout her life she continued her studies as a violinist at an art high school and university. In the meantime, she became interested in violin making and in 2011 she entered the ‘Istituto Stradivari’ violin making school in Cremona, Italy, the home of string instruments. Learn more

Violin Bow by Kurt Dolling, Markneukirchen, c.1960

    By Kurt Dolling  |

This great Modern German bow was made by the hands of a mastermaker. Amongst the greater names of the bow-making tradition in Markneukirchen, Kurt Dolling's bows are sought after for their reliability, precision, and functionality. From our point of view, this bow exceeds for its precisely shaped and curved strong octagonal stick.
