Maker Interview
Why did you start making instruments?
I started making instruments because of my deep passion for music, which was nurtured from a young age in a family that loved music. This passion naturally led me to the art of lutherie, where I found a way to combine my love for music with my interest in craftsmanship.
Why your instruments are so special?
My instruments are special due to the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into each piece. I use high-quality materials and blend traditional techniques with modern innovations to create instruments that stand out in terms of sound quality and aesthetic appeal. The resonance and depth of tone of my violins, in particular, have internationally earned recognition.
What is your inspiration?
My inspiration comes from the rich tradition of Cremonese lutherie and the timeless beauty of classical music. The works of past masters like Antonio Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesù and Giovanni Battista Guadagnini inspire me to strive for excellence in every instrument I create. Additionally, the joy and satisfaction of musicians who play my instruments motivate me to continue improving and innovating in my craft. Through restoring historical instruments, I also draw inspiration from the history and heritage of music, aiming to preserve and enhance it for future generations.
