Maker Background

Born in Marsala, Sicily, in 1968, Ettore began frequenting his father's carpentry workshop at the age of six. What started as childhood play became his first contact with the world of artisan woodworking. Around the same time, he developed a deep interest and love for music.

After playing the piano for several years, Ettore began a self-taught journey into the world of violin making. He successfully mastered the traditional Cremonese method by attending various workshops for professional apprenticeships.

Beyond replicating traditional Italian masterpieces, Belfiore has focused on developing his own personal models, seeking to address the specific requirements and technical concerns of modern musicians. Additionally, he specialized in Cremona in the art of bow making and maintenance.

More than a listing, a considered choice

Every maker we represent is selected on technical, historical and commercial grounds. Each instrument is examined, documented and presented with the same care given to a Stradivari from our own collection. Our role is consultative: we help you find the right instrument, not simply the one that is for sale.
