We are delighted to announce that Amorim Fine Violins is the official luthier partner of the prestigious Verbier Festival, one of the world’s most celebrated classical music events.

The festival, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Swiss Alps, showcases exceptional talent and offers a unique musical experience. Our team will be present at the festival from July 18th to August 2nd, and we invite you to join us.

Temporary Workshop

Try Fine Instruments from Our Collection:

A curated selection of violin, viola and cello made by Luiz Amorim will be available for trial throughout the exhibition. Take a moment to play and connect with exceptional instruments in a relaxed and inspiring setting.

 

Workshop Services:

We’ll also be offering our regular services at our temporary workshop at École de la Comba (1st floor) — including instrument checks, adjustments, bow rehairs, and string changes. Stop by if you need assistance, or just to say hello!

A Violin Beyond The Stage Exhibition

From July 18 to August 2 (10am – 6pm),visit our exhibition at Salle Cordelette, Hotel Cordée des Alpes and step into the rarely seen world of fine violin making, guided by the hands and eyes of those who shape these extraordinary instruments.

Watch master luthier Luiz Amorim at his bench, working in real time. Observe the delicate techniques, tools, and care involved in the creation and restoration of violins.

The Violin-Making Process: 
Get an inside look at how a violin is made: from raw wood to finished instrument. You’ll see instruments at different stages of the process, it’s a rare chance to understand how all the pieces come together.

The Hidden Layers of the Violin:

Explore the unseen side of string instruments through UV light, infrared photography, and high-resolution scans. See structural details, original outlines, and past restorations — the silent stories beneath the surface.
