Maker Background
Marco Anedda was born in Cagliari and developed an early interest in wood working thanks to his grandfather's and father's carpentry workshop. His introduction to music was sparked by curiosity and instinct, but it soon grew into a deep passion for the world of stringed instruments and musicians.
After completing his high school studies, Marco embarked on a long path that led him from Sardinia to Monterchi, where he is currently living and crafting his instruments.
He studied at the School of Violin Making in Gubbio and, after graduating, spent two years as an apprentice at the workshop of Sorgentone and Mecatti in Florence. Eager to build his own instruments, he set up his workshop in Monterchi in 2005, choosing the tranquil surroundings of the Val Tiberina mountains.
In this peaceful setting, Marco crafts violins, violas, and cellos, offering both modern setups and historically inspired designs, including Baroque and Classical styles. He dedicates himself to giving each instrument a unique character and refined tone.
