Felix Krafft’s journey in violin making began in 1989 when he started his apprenticeship in Gubbio, a town in Italy’s Umbria region. After his three-year training, he earned the title of Maestro Liutaio and, during his time in Italy, he also conducted extensive research into the history of violin making.Following his studies in Italy, Felix moved to Berlin, where he spent six years working in a master luthier’s workshop. In 1998, he obtained the prestigious German title of Geigenbaumeister, and the following year, established his own workshop in Berlin.
