Full description

This violin, crafted by the talented maker Fiorella Anelli, is inspired by the iconic Antonio Stradivari’s 1715 "Il Cremonese," one of the most celebrated examples from the master's Golden Period. The top is fashioned from carefully selected medium-grain spruce from Val di Fiemme, the same region that provided wood for the greatest Cremonese makers of the past. The two-piece back, along with the sides and neck, are crafted from beautifully figured Balkan maple with a medium to wide flame, adding a touch of elegance and strength to the instrument. The violin is covered in a luminous red-orange oil varnish, expertly applied to enhance both the beauty and the acoustic potential of the wood.

Anelli’s approach to violin making is deeply rooted in the tradition of the Cremonese school, but she also brings a contemporary sensibility to her work. The model, based on Stradivari’s 1715 “Il Cremonese,” captures the refined lines, precise arching, and graceful corners that define Stradivari’s Golden Period. The result is an instrument that not only looks beautiful but also offers a powerful, balanced, and complex tone, suitable for the most demanding professional musicians.

In our opinion, the highlight of this violin is the beautifully proportioned, precisely carved scroll, which perfectly captures the spirit of the classic Cremonese style while adding a personal touch from the maker.

Violin Bow by Kurt Dolling, Markneukirchen, c.1960

By Kurt Dolling  |

This great Modern German bow was made by the hands of a mastermaker. Amongst the greater names of the bow-making tradition in Markneukirchen, Kurt Dolling's bows are sought after for their reliability, precision, and functionality. From our point of view, this bow exceeds for its precisely shaped and curved strong octagonal stick.
