      This cello was crafted by an experienced maker in Cremona. Modeled after a 1757 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini Cello, this instrument offers the best attributes of the maker: clean, neat, and eye-catching handcraftsmanship combined with a powerful soloistic sound. This instrument, as a personal interpretation of the maker, features all of his very characteristic style: the varnish color and texture,  the ground color, and the refined sculpturing. The top is made with high-quality Italian Spruce with a medium and regular grain of noticeable depth. The back, sides, neck, and head are all made of the same stunning quality Balcan maple, all covered with a lovely transparent linseed oil varnish of luminous red-brown color.
