      Full description

From the f-holes, arching, and overall shape, it is a model with traces of inspiration by the later Gagliano generation instruments, probably due to the established influence of that school at the time, but crafted with much more elegance and precision. Postacchini's precision in workmanship is clearly seen in this violin. The construction details and purfling process are impeccably executed, as are the elegant and precise edges and harmonious arching. It has a gorgeous oil varnish with a reddish-brown color. A violin in excellent condition and beautifully preserved.
