Dong Pil Im entered the International Violin Making School to Cremona in 2002, and graduated in 2007 under the guidance of Master Lorenzo Marchi. Immediatelly in the following year, Dong Pil enrolled an apprenticeship period under Master Silvio Levaggi at his workshop.Since 2010 G. F. Im runs his own workshop in Cremona, winning considerable awards internationally and nationally, with a special mention to the Violin Society of America Silver medal award in the cello and viola section in 2018.
