Full description

This amazing replica by Luiz Amorim had a notable care in the selection of the material, very preciously chosen to match the original instrument personality. The most visible  feature of this copy is the stunning one piece slab cut maple, with a slightly flamed figure, that is often found in Andrea Guarneri's Violas. The Italian Spruce Top, texturely grained carries all the patina  with the discretion of a authentic 17th century cremonese instrument. This viola is considered to be the one of the truly distinguished instruments of the Father of Guarneri family, due to its success in producing the distinctive viola timbre, with resonance and the required balance, in the same time that it refined the standard dimensions of violas to the highest responsiveness and comfort for the player. This was Dr. William Primrose Solo viola throughout his career, and is by far one of the most looked after viola models until today. ⠀
