      Full description

This amazing modern Italian cello from 1900 outstands the great craftsmanship achieved by the maker, specially in his cellos. The stunning one piece of poplar wood cut in the slab of the back and the beechwood ribs illustrate the creative and careful selection of the materials. One of the most notable details of this cello is the deep dark red-brown varnish which is so characteristic of Cavani's cellos. This is a fine example of the highest quality instruments made along the prolific career of the maker.
